A heart for liberals

I love Liberals and I don’t mean it sarcastically. I love them because they are passionate about caring for those they perceive have gotten a raw deal in life and deserve our help. I think this is what drives most of the 20% of Americans who describe themselves as Liberals. Conservatives are also led by their compassion for people, though Liberals don’t believe it. The more I study politics and the people who live on each side, the more I realize that the problem lies in the question of reality – what is truth? Both claim to be on the side of truth…

My point is that Liberals believe so many myths about who conservatives really are and what they believe that it masks the heart of the matter: the best (historically proven) way to govern in a free republic and the proper role of that government. That is the fundamental debate. I think that most Liberals are good hearted and want what’s best for their families and their fellow citizens. What pains me is the degree to which they have been deceived by their own leaders, most of whom make up the Democrat Party.

Liberalism is a failed ideology that creates disastrous results every time it’s put into practice. FDR’s New Deal, a bombshell of liberal government growth and social welfare programs, was a dismal failure that prolonged the depression for at least seven years!  LBJ’s Great Society – which cast a vision for ending poverty – was an equally failed endeavor. After trillions of dollars spent, we have the same percentage of “poor” today as we did before. Johnson pointed to Detroit and proclaimed that it would be the “model city” and premier example of what the ‘fairness’ of the welfare state could produce. Well, the shocking reality is quite the opposite. Here are the results of nearly 50 years of progressive liberalism in Detroit:

  • The city’s population has dropped by more than 50% – once a middle class city of nearly 2 million, it is now a poverty stricken city of less than 900,000.
  • Average home prices have plummeted to just $6,000.
  • The city receives $11,100 per student in government funding (a full $1,500 per student more than the national average) yet the school district is bankrupt and Detroit’s graduation rate is the lowest in the country – an abysmal 25%.
  • Students attending public schools have a better chance of serving time in prison than graduating from a public high school.
  • In 1950, Detroit was the wealthiest city in America on a per-capita-income basis; today it is the second poorest major city.
  • The city boasts an unemployment rate that hovers around 50%.

Liberal leaders cannot defend these failed liberal experiments so they focus on demonizing Conservatism and those who champion it. This is the real tragedy because if the debate were grounded in the pure merits of political policy and its actual results, Liberalism would not be alive in America today. Liberalism simply doesn’t work and it never has. The only reason it survives is because Liberal leaders (in the media, academia, government and science) thrive on power, control and deceiving their own constituents who keep them in power. All of this at the expense of truth, goodness, our freedom and what truly works.

So, what exactly is Liberalism and why has it failed so miserably? Liberalism is a flawed ideology based on emotion and hype. It has no basis in fact, logic, or reason. At its core is the false theory of relativism – that there is no right or wrong, that you’re okay and I’m okay regardless of what we believe. By refusing to accept or acknowledge absolute truth, liberalism snuffs out competition, innovation, and the entrepreneur spirit that has made America exceptional. Liberalism espouses an ever expanding government, more regulation, higher taxes, the redistribution of income, the welfare state, entitlement programs, abortion, is anti-war and rooted in the theory of evolution. In sum, it believes in turning over to the state whatever resources, rights and privileges the state deems necessary to enact what it claims will administer “social justice.” And that’s the problem. Nothing good has ever been created, developed, or solved through the practice of liberalism. In fact, you can trace most, if not all, of America’s problems back to the false ideas of liberalism. The harsh reality is that unchecked government growth never leads to justice – it only leads to scarcity, suffering, oppression and eventually genocide (i.e. over 100 million killed by communism in the 20th Century.) What Liberals fail to realize (or continue to deny), is that their seemingly harmless utopian belief that government power holds the key to uniform social justice is the seed that births socialism, communism and eventually genocide.

So to those on the Left, I sincerely hope the day will come that you choose to consider this reality: The liberal ideologues who continue their campaign of deception which preys upon your desire to help your fellow man (while convincing you that Conservatism is evil) are doing so for their own preservation of power, and care for little else.

If you are a Liberal and you find yourself in a constant state of frustration, rage, and broken heartedness, it’s because the system you’re invested in is a broken system that will never achieve what it claims to. It’s time to discover what Conservatism is really all about…

Still don’t think Shariah is a threat? Read this…

If you don’t read anything else this year, read this dynamite report, Shariah: The Threat to America by the Center for Security Policy. It will knock your socks off and send a riveting chill though your bones. It’s a serious, sobering wake up call to the greatest threat facing our nation. 
If America expects to remain free without understanding what’s in this report, it expects, as Jefferson said, “what never will be.”

And it’s THE report that just might break through the willful blindness and naive passivity of those who refuse to accept reality and the grave threat that is working to destroy us. A growing number of freedom loving Americans have been trying to sound the alarm bell, and this could be the desperately needed key to liberate us from our prison of political correctness.

The flight that fought back

Nine years ago on that day of enormous darkness, destruction and terror, a small band of stout Americans on board Flight 93 ignited a torch of hope, courage and perseverance that lifted a nation in its darkest hour.

The evil that struck that day did not count on the courageous spirit of the American people. Video footage of Bin Laden and his henchmen reveal their predictions that we would roll over, cower and scatter. They underestimated our resolve, and certainly didn’t expect a group of captives to fight back and win a critical battle in the skies over Shanksville, Pennsylvania…

It gives me enormous pride to think about those ordinary citizens who became brave warriors – those frightened souls who decided to battle back. They didn’t wait on anyone to tell them what to do. They actually voted to act – democracy in the skies – and proceeded “to roll.”

On this 9th anniversary of that heinous act of war, I believe we should honor the nearly 3,000 dead, mourn their souls, pray for their families, but also do something else equally important: We need to focus on those enormously brave patriots, driven by a love for their country and illumined with the best of the human spirit. Let us remember their self reliance, initiative, innovation and belief in themselves. Let us cherish their memories and the way they spent their last moments on earth: fighting with a warrior heart to save others. This is what the rest of us must emulate. What better way to honor their sacrifice than by taking up the mantle of what they began that day? What have we done, as individuals, over the last nine years to magnify and embody their courageous spirit and love of country? Maybe the better question is, what shall we do now?

Here are three suggestions:

  1. Learn the nature of the enemy. Most of our citizens still aren’t aware or understand the Muslim Brotherhood’s 100 year plan for taking down America, replacing our Constitution, and implementing Sharia law. They’ve been here since the late 40s and are half way there to achieving their goals. The reality of what’s happening today is not for the faint of heart, but it is essential to understand.   2. Take responsibility for our freedom. If we think we can carry on, carefree and careless, relying on our government to protect us, we are sorely mistaken. The federal government is infiltrated and lack the political spine to properly deal with this enemy. It will be the every day American people who win this epic struggle of ideas and cultures. Why do we expect others to carry the burden for us? We must get engaged now. Click here for a place to start.
  3. Give up something. We must sacrifice some of our free time in order to raise the level of our civic engagement to where it was designed to be. In a free, constitutional republic, it’s up to us, We the people. It takes time, dedication and sacrifice from every citizen to preserve freedom. Most of us will have to change our priorities and let go of something to honor this duty.

Flight 93. The flight that fought back. A cross section of ordinary citizens who struck back and ultimately saved the lives of many others in the heart of our capital city. That’s what America is all about, and always has been. Let us rededicate and recommit ourselves to insuring that it always will be.

Awakening the Warrior Heart of America

In America today, we have worshipers, but few are also warriors. Why? David was a worshiper and a warrior – he loved and depended on God completely, but was also a warrior, with the courage to face a giant that no one else would.

O my Strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

Look around you. Do you see many Davids?

Of course the brave men and women who voluntarily serve in the armed forces are excluded from this line of questioning. Their service to our country is beyond reproach and is the bulwark of our freedom. I’m talking about the rest of us who are benefactors of our military brethren and their selfless sacrifice.

The 80 percent of Americans who call themselves Christians (including me) are in large part betrayers of our unique American legacy. Not only have we allowed God to be pushed off center stage, but we’ve relinquished our duty to elect Godly men to public office. Our nation is hanging by a thread because of the pacifism of the church body...we’ve accepted the lie that being nice, staying out of politics, and avoiding conflict and confrontation at all costs is what Jesus would have us do. Wrong! Jesus was a warrior at heart, exposing hypocrites, facing down evil, rebuking demons and ultimately enduring a torturous death that few can fathom. Do you think it was “nice” of Jesus to overturn the tables, make a whip out of cords and drive the money changers from the temple area?

Would you agree that Christians in America have, by in large, become soft, wishy washy and often pushovers? I feel we’re so preoccupied with being “nice, compassionate and accepting,” that we have forgotten how to stand up for what we believe, confront evil and defend our faith against the God-less political forces consuming our society. The lie that politics and religion don’t mix has eroded the very foundations that built this nation in a revival of religion. It is impossible to govern justly without morality and religion and we’re learning this the hard way.

How can the church continue its blatant disregard of the need for warriors to defend the faith and engage the spiritual warfare that is at our doorstep? Evil is real, it is present and it is everywhere. But somehow we’ve lost our moral courage and conviction to stand firm as so many previous generations have. What if my grandfather’s generation had responded to Japans’ brazen attack on Pearl Harbor with “no, we can’t get involved, we need to turn the other cheek because that’s what Jesus would have us do”?

Appeasing evil only invites more of it. Dismissing evil only encourages it to grow. When Adolf Hitler witnessed the world’s disgraceful, sheepish response to Islam’s brutal massacre of over a million Armenian Christians in Turkey in the early 1900s, he was emboldened to launch a campaign of brutality and conquest of his own.

We ought to be disgusted by the pacifists who sit smugly in their pews on Sunday while political Islam (and Sharia law) advance and take root in America. If not confronted, it will threaten our hard-won freedoms – especially our ability to worship freely. We’ve lost our will to fight and the vision to see clearly the battles of good and evil that rage throughout our land.

What will it take to awaken the warrior heart of America? Are we prepared to defend the last bastion of freedom and liberty on earth? We must rediscover that “eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.” I believe in the might and perseverance of the American people and my confidence in the spirit of a mostly free people remains high. But the time has come to stand up and stand tall…for, in the words of Thomas Paine, “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.”

One nation under God…

“…that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain–that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom–and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

One nation under God. The phrase evokes strong emotions across the political spectrum and connects our citizens from age to age. And if there was ever a time to rediscover the might of this simple phrase, it’s right now. We find ourselves at a cross roads in our nation’s history and the immense gravity of it all is evident in a growing number of citizens. What does “one nation under God” really mean and can we embody it once again?

According to Newt Gingrich in his book, “Rediscovering God in America,” the term, “under God” was inserted into the Pledge of Allegiance deliberately by Congress in 1954 to draw distinction between the atheistic tyranny of the Soviet Union during the Cold War and a free society whose freedoms were based on the God-given rights of each person. He goes on to note the report from the House of Representatives accompanying the law which asserted: “From the time of our earliest history, our peoples and our institutions have reflected the traditional concept that our nation was founded on a fundamental belief in God.”

This was not the first time such a distinction had been made. General Washington in rallying his troops during the long days of the Revolutionary war often invoked the providence of God in uniting the men in their cause of freedom for the struggling nation. He believed their efforts must be “under God” in order to win against such outrageous odds.

When a mighty and terrible civil war was ripping our nation apart, a tormented Lincoln visited the blood soaked ground at Gettysburg and spoke words that would resonate in the hearts and minds of Americans for generations to come. He sought a new birth of freedom, under God, where our unique legacy of American freedom and the system of government established to preserve it would not “perish from the earth.”

It is time once again, that this nation, under God, return to its sacred foundations. It’s time to understand and take hold of the reality of American exceptionalism – grounded first and foremost in the understanding that our rights and freedoms come from God, not the government. Americans are quickly coming to realize the enormous chasm between  our nation as it was founded under God and the Left’s vision of a godless America where government is supreme and all powerful. The progressives’ dream of a socialist nation is coming to full fruition under this current president.

It is with this burden that “One Nation Under God” on the radio came into being. Two men – burdened and compelled to do something at this critical juncture – are stepping out to speak out in the name of God and their country. On behalf of the giants on whose shoulders they stand, they desperately want to awaken the might and vigor of a people who long ago slipped into a slumber of mediocrity and passivity.

It was my great fortune to be the first guest on this promising new radio program and it is with great anticipation and hope that I endorse their noble efforts. By tuning in to the show and lending your support in the form of prayer and financial contributions, they can accomplish a great revival in the hearts and minds of our nation’s citizens – that this nation, at a time of absolute dire need – will awaken once again to our deep and abiding belief in a God whose grace, mercy and blessing has enveloped this nation from its earliest days.

Government’s role in a nation founded under God

Government, in my humble opinion, should be formed to secure and to enlarge the exercise of the natural rights of its members; and every government, which has not this in view, as its principal object, is not a government of the legitimate kind.” – James Wilson, signer of the Declaration of Independence, Lectures on Law, 1791

At the heart of all political debate is this core question: What is the proper role of our government? No matter the issue, this question is always at the root level of finding the right answer.

When you boil everything down, there are really only two possible roles for government: protector or provider.

If the government provides for our wants and needs, a relationship of dependence and control exists. As this dependence increases, freedoms are diminished, and we move ever closer to tyranny. Love and compassion for our fellow man is replaced with class warfare and a survivalist mentality.

If the government protects our rights and freedoms, a relationship of independence and self reliance exists. The fewer the rules and regulations, the greater the innovation and creativity there is to generate prosperity, a higher quality of life, and authentic devotion to each other.

In which scenario will respect and devotion to God and his principles flourish? In other words, which governmental role is better suited to foster and maintain a nation under God?

First, having love and compassion for your fellow man does not involve controlling your fellow man. But it does call for protecting him. It’s NOT out of love that a government seeks to control more of its peoples’ lives. You can’t claim to love something and want to control it at the same time. In the same way, the proper role of government – if rooted in the love of man – is the protection of its people and their rights.

As evident in our founding documents, our Constitutional republic was indeed founded on the rock of religion and rooted in the love of man! We know this because it provides for the most FREEDOM of any civil government ever created. If you truly love something, you advocate for its FREEDOM, not its control.

Second, I believe God desires for each of us to have faith in who we are as unique individuals in his creation. We are to believe in, and be good stewards of, the talents and gifts bestowed in us from birth.

Is it not a violation of this plan to be dependent on government to live, prosper, and gain the things we need or want?

(Important side note: government does not produce anything – it can only confiscate resources and then redistribute them. Therefore, government = our fellow citizens).

If we put our faith in the government (our fellow citizens) to provide for us, and not in our God-given talents and abilities, are we not disavowing what God declared as good and unique? We are all created with a unique purpose. If we don’t become who we were created to be, then our community and the world misses out.

Conclusions:
The less choice we have in the way we govern ourselves, the less God-like is that form of government. The more freedom we have in governing ourselves the closer we come to living within the boundaries that God created.

Self reliance and self governance is the key to making our divinely inspired system of limited government work. It’s about freedom and freewill! Not control! If free will was God’s design, how can we advocate for government to make decisions for us?

Upon completion of our Constitution, James Madison, our fourth president and father of that sacred document wrote, “We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the ten commandments of God.”

Government’s role in a nation founded under God is the protection of our inalienable rights and freedoms. That protection empowers us to use our God given gifts to the maximum with the freedom to decide how we use them. Restoring our government to this proper role is the only hope we have in saving America.

Obama = Enemy of the State

Is it really so much of a surprise? There were red flags from the beginning. We should have known when it was rightly observed that Obama’s background was such that he wouldn’t have even gotten clearance to serve as his own security detail. By any objective and candid analysis, Obama’s classification is now nothing short of an Enemy of the State. I know, it’s a dreadful conclusion, but it’s time America faced the writing on the wall: this man belongs in prison for the unfettered damage he’s doing to America. If you don’t believe this, you haven’t been paying attention to the depth and breadth of his traitorous onslaught against the  nation he swore to uphold and defend. Obama is an Enemy of the State leading a gangster government that is governing, day by day, against the will of the people.

His refusal to enforce federal immigration law and then SUE the state of Arizona for merely trying to do the same is only the latest in a long line of egregious usurpation of power and lawlessness. It’s hard to imagine a more absurd and insulting scenario than what is transpiring over the new Arizona law.

Obama’s treachery is not only criminal but without precedent. Sure, we’ve had lawbreakers and violators of the Constitution before, but this man is literally presiding over the destruction and decline of America and it is excruciating to witness.

If we lived in a sane political world, this brazen narcissist would be held accountable for his implementation of the now exposed Cloward-Piven Strategy designed to overwhelm our free market capitalist system in order to destroy it and replace it with a full blown socialist welfare state. (As an aside, if it were up to me, I would reopen Alcatraz for this master of deceit and his shameless cadres Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Frank, Rangel, etc. You think I’m kidding? Just think for a moment about the decades it will take to reverse course and rebuild all the foundations of America currently being destroyed – if it’s not all ready too late…)alcatraz

Instead of writing another 2,000 words to try and cite all of the nearly countless devious actions taken by this “president,” let’s flip it around. I would like someone – ANYONE – to please point out ONE thing this man has done to build UP the nation and serve its people.

Tell you what – I’ll go first. I can think of just ONE thing this pseudo-president has done that would be considered in favor of the American people and in line with his Constitutional duties:

His (supposed) authorization to snipe the three Somali (Jihadi) pirates as they threatened more Americans at sea. Remember that? Seriously – can anyone identify anything else he’s done that was not intended to level, remake, or move us closer to total collapse and towards a European style socialist welfare state?

Are you prepared to live under Shariah Law?

Polygamy. Forced child marriage. The stoning of those who commit adultery. No equal rights for women. Jihad against all non-Muslims. This is Sharia law, or Islamic law, and it governs all affairs of Muslims. It is the foundation for every demand that Muslims make on our society. It is completely incompatible with our U.S. Constitution and our way of life. So why are we allowing it to sink roots into our society? Two reasons: ignorance and political correctness.

Consider these alarming incidents and developments:

  • On the campus of Vanderbilt University in January, Adjunct Professor and Muslim Chaplain Awadh A. Binhazim, admitted during a seminar that under Islamic (Sharia) law being a homosexual is punishable by death. Watch it here.
  • On June 18, in Dearborn Michigan, four Christian missionaries were arrested at the Annual Arab International Festival for speaking about Christianity and conversing with Muslim youth. This is a frightening example of local police enforcing Sharia Law in a city dominated by a large Muslim population. Watch it here.
  • In Philadelphia, a Muslims-only enclave ruled by Sharia law is thriving in the heart of the city and is being funded by our tax dollars. Read the article here.
  • USA Today reports six honor killings in the US over the past two years, a direct result of the growing influence of Sharia Law.
  • According to CBN News correspondent and anti-terrorism expert Erik Stackelbeck, there were 12 active Jihad plots in the U.S. in 2009 alone; two were successful.

Where is the outrage? Why are we not seeing more opposition to these appalling developments? You know the answer: Fear, ignorance and political correctness. Every civic and religious leader and law enforcement officer in America should be thoroughly educated on Sharia Law.

For a primer, here is an excerpt from Dr. Bill Warner’s recently released Sharia Law for Non Muslims:

“Under Sharia law:

  • There is no freedom of religion
  • There is no freedom of speech
  • There is no freedom of thought
  • There is no freedom of artistic expression
  • There is no freedom of the press
  • There is no equality of peoples—a non-Muslim, a Kafir, is never equal to a Muslim
  • There is no equal protection under Sharia for different classes of people. Justice is dualistic, with one set of laws for Muslim males and different laws for women and non-Muslims.
  • There are no equal rights for women
  • Women can be beaten
  • A non-Muslim cannot bear arms
  • There is no democracy, since democracy means that a non-Muslim is equal to a Muslim
  • Our Constitution is a man-made document of ignorance, jahiliyah, that must submit to Sharia
  • Non-Muslims are dhimmis, third-class citizens
  • All governments must be ruled by Sharia law
  • Unlike common law, Sharia is not interpretive, nor can it be changed
  • There is no Golden Rule”

Bottom line: The goal of the political movement of Shariah is to gain political control of America through economics, academia, exploitation of American free speech, press, and justice system, to replace the U.S. Constitution with Shariah Islamic Law.

They are achieving this goal RIGHT NOW. What are we going to do about it?

Two simple, but critical steps each American must take right now:
1. Educate themselves and their circle of influence.
2. Call, write, petition their elected officials – local, state and federal – about this problem.
(They must hear from the voters before they will do anything about it – this is the reality of politics).

Our Independence: do we grasp the true source of it?

“The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of divinity itself; and can never be erased by mortal power.”
- Alexander Hamilton, 1775

Ponder for a moment the might and magnificence of 1,322 immortal words and the 56 patriots who gave them life. In that matchless declaration a force was galvanized that changed the world forever. Millions have lived in freedom and unprecedented prosperity because of what took place in that stifling hot room in Philadelphia 234 years ago today. In the present, we find our own government doing its best to mimic the tyranny we originally escaped. The depth and breadth of abuses is similar and the stakes equally high. The season is ripe to set ablaze once again the spirit of 1776.

“What do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations…This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution. - John Adams

This real American Revolution that Adams spoke of is a miraculous and unparalleled episode in the annals of human history. The magnitude of what those colonists faced in forging a new nation and declaring their independence is hard for us to imagine…and yet, we can relate, in a very real sense: it is do or die once again. The very survival of America hangs in the balance…our people must experience the same revolution of mind and heart if we stand any chance of seeing our hard-won legacy of freedom into the future. We must be transformed by a higher calling…

After all, the core message of the Declaration is that our rights come from our Creator, not the government, the state, sovereign or king. As Newt Gingrich points out in his book Rediscovering God In America, when our forefathers declared independence from an earthly power, they were making a forthright declaration of dependence upon God. He then points out the four references to God in the Declaration: as lawmaker, creator, supreme judge and as protector.

Why don’t we talk about or teach the Divine inspiration and foundation of this most cherished charter of freedom?

Because it doesn’t fit the narrative of the Left that government is the source of all that you need, not God. They will never acknowledge the massive volume of evidence left by the founders that confirm the real message of the Declaration.

In a speech given on Independence Day in 1837, our 6th President, John Quincy Adams queried, “Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer’s mission upon earth? That it laid the cornerstone of human government upon the precepts of Christianity?”

In his Independence Day speech in 1926 commemorating its 150th Anniversary, President Calvin Coolidge reminded Americans that it was “a great spiritual document.”

“…We live in an age of science and of abounding accumulation of material things. These did not create our Declaration. Our Declaration created them. The things of the spirit come first. Unless we cling to that, all our material prosperity, overwhelming though it may appear, will turn to a barren scepter in our grasp. If we are to maintain the great heritage which has been bequeathed to us, we must be like-minded as the fathers who created it. We must not sink into a pagan materialism. We must cultivate the reverence which they had for the things that are holy. We must follow the spiritual and moral leadership which they showed. We must keep replenished, that they may glow with a more compelling flame, the alter fires before which they worshiped.”

Is it not time for the next great spiritual awakening in this country? The Great Awakening of the 1730’s led to the American Revolution that Adams was instrumental in leading. The second religious awakening occurred in the 1800’s and led to the abolitionists’ campaign to end slavery. Will our generation usher in the next great awakening?

If so, we must return God to the center of our nation’s conscience. After all, it was the hallowed sermons echoing from the colonists’ pulpits that set ablaze the revolution that led to our independence.

“If the groans and cries of posterity in oppression can be any argument, come now, my noble countrymen, fight for your sons and daughters.” – Pastor David Jones, July 1775

This “change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations,” that Adams spoke of is EXACTLY what must happen again.

So, on this 234th anniversary of our nation’s birth, let us ponder carefully how this revolution might take place within our own hearts and minds – for the sake of our family, friends, and fellow citizens. We also owe it to those 56 men who risked it all…they became traitors to their mother country, but heroes to their posterity.

And may we never forget the stirring words and sentiments of the Declaration’s closing words,  “And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

Let us live worthy of that pledge…

One Patriot’s Prayer for America

“We must preserve freedom of the mind and spirit at all costs!”
- Lt Col Courtney Rogers

Recalling the words of the Apostle Paul, “If God is for us who can be against us?” Lt Col Courtney Rogers, a brave patriot stepping out for her nation, states in her “American Prayer” that “If God is for us, then as a people and as a nation, we will prevail.”

These uplifting words are just part of what she calls “a divine intervention” that gave birth to her “American Prayer,” a moving prayer for our nation at this dark hour. It is her mission to share this prayer with as many people as possible and has already shared it with thousands – spoken in public and shared online through her simple website.

I met Lt Col Rogers at an important event recently in which she delivered her prayer. It was a stirring moment that brought solemn reverence and tears to a large crowd of Americans deeply concerned about the grave threats we face as a nation. She has agreed to share it here and will be joining us in a near future post via interview.

The American Prayer

We are gathered

Dear Lord, we are gathered here today,
To praise and glorify Your name.
We thank you for the blessings you have given us,
for the privilege of living in a nation that is
still free
to worship you in the open.

We thank you for our beloved brothers and sisters in arms,
who have sacrificed their lives, in answer to this nation’s call,
in the defense of our freedom.

Lord we pray

We pray for those that are serving in harm’s way even now,
all over the world.
We pray You give them courage, when they know fear,
strength, when they can go no further,
clarity of vision and thought,
when they are enveloped by the fog of war,
and comfort during those darkest times,
the quiet pauses between the storms.

We pray that their sacrifices are not in vain,
lost to a godless and apathetic nation,
for it has been declared to the world,
by our own leadership,
that we are not
a Christian Nation.

Your hand

Lord we know, that as America,
our history can not be erased,
and as Americans
we can not forget our heritage.
We can not turn our backs on the source of our freedom,
given us by Your hand through
The Great Revolution and
The Great Emancipation

So today Lord, we also pray for ourselves,
for each other, and for all Americans here,
in these United States.

Restore

We pray that we all find the
courage, commitment, and resolve,
to offer our time, our resources, our leadership,
and our lives,
in answer to Your call.

“Restore Me.”

Restore Me in your hearts.
Restore Me in your homes.
Restore Me in your schools and at work.
Restore Me in your city halls and state capitols.
Restore Me in your Supreme Court.
Restore Me in the Halls of Congress:
The House and the Senate.
Restore Me in the White House itself.

Without You

Lord we know that without You as our guide and counselor,
Our nation will never be as strong as it once was,
Our people will never be as free as they once were.
So as was told to King Solomon,
Lord we humble ourselves before you
and ask for Your intervention to help heal this nation,
and to protect the Constitution
that we are bound to defend.

If God is for Us

For we also know, that none of the blood shed
by our military brethren,
past, present, or future,
could ever buy the freedom purchased
by the blood of Your Son,
Jesus Christ.

And Lord we thank you,
for Your words of encouragement,
left to us through the Apostle Paul.
’If God is for us, then who can be against us.’

If God is for us, then
As a people and as a nation,
we will prevail.

Lord we will not go silently into the night
Today we stand without fear
And proclaim Your dominion
Over our laws, our leadership, and our land
In Your name we pray,
Amen
